The 23 Best Quilting Blogs On The Web For 2024

I don't know about you, but one of my favorite things about quilting is the community — the large, friendly community.

Many different types of people enjoy quilting, and quilt blogs make it possible for quilters to come together and talk about their experiences, as well as give each other useful tips.

Quilting bloggers often share pictures of their work, as they talk about the details of their process with other people who share their interest in quilting.

There are a lot of great quilter blogs out there, but blogs can change over time.

Some bloggers get too busy with life or other work to keep blogging, so they stop posting. However, there are always new bloggers eager to join the quilting community.

We put together a great list of best quilting blogs that are current right now.

Whether you are just getting started with your first quilt, or you are looking to take on a huge project, you'll find inspiration in this list.

Is Quilting Still Popular?

Quilting has been a form of creativity for centuries, but is it still popular today?

If you were to go to any department store and look at handbags, coats, or bedding, what is one standard detail you would spot in each section? Quilted items. Something is comforting and warm about a beautifully quilted gift, don’t you think?

But what if we add the layer of being a handmade quilted item? These words come to mind: love, comfort, giving, compassion? Let’s go over why quilting is still prevalent today.

  • It brings people together.
  • It is a labor of love.
  • It exudes comfort and love to the recipient.
  • It is a unique art form with many different styles and interpretations.
  • It can be enjoyed by all who try it.
  • You don’t have to be a professional to have a great time quilting.

  1. I completely agree, Joan! It’s so fun to see what others are up to with different projects and things. Enjoy!

  2. Trying to get help for some mystery pieces I found in a bag of partially finished grandmothers flower garden blocks

  3. Hi, Mary! Do you have enough pieces to make a whole quilt top? If so, I would find a pattern specifically for Grandmother’s Flower Garden blocks and go from there. If not, you could always implement the Grandmother’s Flower Garden blocks into another quilt pattern. Best wishes!

  4. I am glad I found this page. I am very much an absolute beginner and I was pleased to see three blogs I am already reading. I just purchased the Church Window pattern from ‘Lo and Behold quilting. I would like to suggest ‘Kitchen Table Quilting’, which has been my favorite blog so far.

  5. I love to check out Sister’s Choice quilt blog. She does beautiful quilts and her blog is encourages me to keep quilting.
