Why You Should Hang a Quilt

If you have several quilts around the house, but don’t use them all year round, hanging them up for display is a fun option.

You can still enjoy your handiwork and art. Here are some other reasons why you may want to hang a quilt.

  • You can hang up heirloom quilts to enjoy and cherish even if they are too delicate to use on a bed.
  • You can applique a child’s name onto a quilt and hang it on their bedroom wall for decoration.
  • Mini quilts are a fun way to try out different quilting techniques. If you have a craft room or corner, you can embellish the walls with mini quilts.
  • Hanging a quilt allows you to store it flat. It won’t be in danger of getting stubborn creases, eaten by moths, or (the worst) stained by bugs or mice.
  • I love to have one of my quilts in view to inspire my creativity. Hanging one on the wall gives me a constant reminder of what I’m capable of and why I love to quilt.
